Mt.
McKinley, highest mountain in North America
|
Alaska
Far northern, Far away from the main land of this nation, Close to an arctic
circle, That is the place called Alaska.
It is only place Where pristine frontier land still exists With immense wilderness and nature.
It is only place Where people can experience brute nature untouched
by civilization.
It is only place Where caribou are roaming and puffins are diving.
In summertime,
days are so long That people wonder when they can go to bed for sleep.
In wintertime, nights so long That
people wonder when they wake up.
Glaciers are still scattered here and there That reminisces an ice age While presenting wondrous view to visitors. Some glaciers look like a flowing river, extending all the way ocean surfaces. Some others look immense endless ice field. It is hoped that all glaciers remain unchanged So that the ecosystem
on earth can remain unchanged forever.
Written after the trip to Alaska in summer 2003

Denali
National Park and Mount McKinley
Glittering snow covered mountain, With highest altitude in North America Formed with multiple triangular peaks Attracts people Only to observe from far away Because it is too
far, too cold and too ragged to get there
Untouched and unspoiled land That located in Denali National Park, Where plenty nature exist, While luring people.
Greasily bears, caribous, mountain goats, mountain sheep,
marmots, ... Are roaming unbridled and freely over tundras, mountains, valleys, river banks, creeks, . . . How pristine
nature it is!
